The immediate foreground is the boiler house that supplies the museum site with steam. A relatively small Cochrane Wee Chieftain package boiler can now supply the largest workable steam engine in the UK. Of course, being off-load makes all the difference. This is a truly awesome site for any stationary steam enthusiast. I first visited in about 1978 when it was in commercial use and my response on walking through the door and seeing two 62' high engines running was quite unprintable!
