Godmanchester Chinese Bridge
Godmanchester Chinese Bridge
This pedestrian bridge spans a mill stream on the River Great Ouse and is built in a Chinese style. The original was constructed in 1827 but it fell into bad condition and was replaced with a replica in 1960, but this too fell into bad condition and in February 2010 the old bridge was removed by crane and a new bridge was put into position costing around 250,000.
