Founded in 1991, by Ted Tuppen. Enterprise Inns is a leased and tenanted pub company, and with over 7000 pubs is the second largest in the UK after Punch Taverns.

It began by acquiring 368 pubs from the Bass Brewery, with further acquisitions including former Whitbread pubs.
