Loch Lomond Shores
A walkway from the Retail Crescent and National Park Gateway Centre (see NS3882 : Loch Lomond Shores) leads to the area of shore shown in this view. There, people are engaged in all sorts of activities, from sunbathing to fishing for baggies.

In the middle distance, on the right, the winch-house at the NS3882 : Balloch Steam Slipway can be seen, with a white facade (NS3882 : Winchhouse, Balloch). Also prominent in this view is the NS3882 : Maid of The Loch (see also NS3882 : Maid of the Loch - preparations for slipping and NS3882 : Maid of the Loch). On the left are the ruins of a pier, also shown in NS3882 : Snow-capped mountains by Loch Lomond.

Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond is the largest lake in Britain. It is 24 miles long and covers 27 square miles. The loch lies along the Highland Boundary Fault.
