Loch Lomond Shores
A walkway from the Retail Crescent and National Park Gateway Centre (see NS3882 : Loch Lomond Shores) leads to the area of shore shown in this view. There, people are engaged in all sorts of activities, from sunbathing to fishing for baggies.
For a view of that area (on a later occasion) from ground level, see NS3882 : Loch Lomond Shores.
In the middle distance, on the right, the winch-house at the NS3882 : Balloch Steam Slipway can be seen, with a white facade (NS3882 : Winchhouse, Balloch). Also prominent in this view is the NS3882 : Maid of The Loch (see also NS3882 : Maid of the Loch - preparations for slipping and NS3882 : Maid of the Loch). On the left are the ruins of a pier, also shown in NS3882 : Snow-capped mountains by Loch Lomond.
