The junction of Ridlees Burn (right) and River Coquet (left) near Linshiels
There was an old ford here across the River Coquet, in use as the main route through the valley before building of the road bridge north of Linbriggs. The ford was often hazardous when in flood as the river bed carries large boulders. Prior to the current bridge that takes a farm track across the Coquet between Linbriggs and Linshiels, there was for a time a suspension footbridge.
