SX7081 : Burnt area of moorland

taken 13 years ago, 3 km from Lettaford, Devon, England

Burnt area of moorland
Burnt area of moorland
The focus here is on the middle ground, in the dip between Hamel Down (foreground) and Shapley Tor beyond, with a roughly circular patch of moorland contrasted to its surroundings. I presume this is the result of controlled burning.
