Joining the guided busway
Joining the guided busway
Having used conventional roads through the city and south from the railway station under Hills Road Bridge (from which this picture was taken) a bus joins the concrete Brio track for the rest of its journey to Trumpington. A path for walkers and cyclists runs beside the busway, which had opened the previous day, two years late and massively over budget. The brown-brick building on the right is Cambridge University Press. The three-coach train in the middle distance was about to reverse into the platforms at the station (behind the camera). For the scene a few moments later, see TL4556 : Southbound guided bus.
