Castilian Court (1)
Castilian Court (1)
This idiosyncratic piece of architecture was a memorial built in 1919 to the design of Alexander Ellis Anderson, the architect involved with Charles Rennie Mackintosh at 78 Derngate. Later a YMCA hostel, but now converted together with the adjacent building beyond into residential property. Various inscriptions carry the dates 'AD 1914-1918' and 'RPT Memorial Hall'.
