NM7307 : Raised beach on Luing

taken 7 years ago, near to Toberonochy, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Raised beach on Luing
Raised beach on Luing
Like much of the west coast, Luing has examples of raised beach and old coastline. The old sea cliffs are on the left along the line of the 10m contour, whilst the old shoreline is now mostly rushes and bog over rocks. Two wind turbines decorate the distant hilltop.
