Croydon Riots - trams back running
Croydon Riots - trams back running
After engineers had worked through the night, trams recommenced running through Reeves Corner on 12th August, following the riots and arson of 8th August 2011.

Demolition of the Reeves furniture store continued; whilst, to the extreme left of picture, a film crew had set up, ready to broadcast.

Seen above the tram are smoke-blackened flats at the end of Church Street. It was from one of these flats that a lady had to leap for her life, during the riots.
