TQ2481 : Duckweed by the Grand Union public house

taken 13 years ago, near to Paddington, Westminster, England

Duckweed by the Grand Union public house
Duckweed by the Grand Union public house
The hot weather has been suitable for growth of duckweed. There is not much water movement on this stretch of the Grand Union canal, so although boats move through, the duckweed drifts back to form a film which looks like a lawn.
