All Saints Church interior
In 1679, one Dr Robert Wilde, a puritan clergyman, left a bequest for boys to cast dice on the altar to win bibles, as a mark of his disdain for the altar. What he would have said about the painted saints cannot be imagined, although of course he would never have lapsed into blasphemy.

The church dates from C12, but was largely rebuilt ca. 1470. It has a Norman font and Elizabethan pulpit; the statues on the arcade brackets are by Sir Ninian Comper, 1893 and the organ was part of the same restoration. Grade I listed, id 53378, LinkExternal link
