NR8095 : Across the saltmarsh at sunset

taken 7 years ago, near to Poltalloch, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Across the saltmarsh at sunset
Across the saltmarsh at sunset
Grasses and reeds close to the shores of Loch Crinan with the silhouette of Duntrune Castle across the loch. The castle dates from the early 17th century and was largely rebuilt in the late 18th century. The Malcolm family moved from here to the new Poltalloch House [NR8196] in 1853, but a hundred years later moved back again. Like all good Scottish castles, it is supposed to be haunted.
