Orangery at Wrest Park
Orangery at Wrest Park
The orangery now faces the opposite way round from when it was built. The owner of Wrest Park in the 18th century did not like looking at the rear of it from the house so he had it rebuilt facing the park. The orange trees were kept in slate pots and in the summer were moved outside to line the path leading up to the orangery.
