Showman's traction engine, Swindon and Cricklade Railway, Blunsdon
In steam for today's activities at the railway, this machine was built in 1913 by Charles Burrell of Thetford. The company ceased trading in the 1920s presumably because they were unable to adapt to the rise of the internal combustion engine. The livery on the engine dates to around 1937, the Coronation year of George VI. This and other pictures of mine from today were taken at a Steam and Vintage rally at the heritage railway.
