Bartlow: where trains once crossed
Bartlow: where trains once crossed
Only the brick abutments remain of the bridge which carried trains on the Great Eastern Railway line from Cambridge to Colchester via Sudbury and Marks Tey. The line closed in 1967. Bartlow Station, now a grand house, Booking Hall, was on the embankment immediately to the left (west) of the bridge - see TL5844 : Bartlow: former railway station.
