Remains of Bartlow Junction Signal Box
Remains of Bartlow Junction Signal Box
Until 1967 this signal box controlled movements at the west end of Bartlow Station (on the Cambridge-Colchester line) where the branch line to Saffron Walden and Audley End (closed 1964) diverged. This box appears in the background of Ben Brooksbank's TL5844 : Bartlow Station. For a picture of it and the station in 1975, before nature took over, see the Disused Stations website - LinkExternal link Walk a little further along the path through the bushes to see TL5844 : Bartlow Station: remains of the Audley End Branch Platform.
