The three pipes are an interesting scale. And, yes, that is a very dead ewe, possibly a road casualty from the road above, its carcase now a seething mass of maggots. And a Red Kite patrols above. No doubt he or she got first dibs at the poor ewe and having enjoyed the delicacies left the carcase to the blowflies. Nature in the raw.
