SN9818 : Hillside above the Beacons Reservoir

taken 7 years ago, 4 km from Nant-Ddu, Powys, Great Britain

Hillside above the Beacons Reservoir
Hillside above the Beacons Reservoir
Cars on the busy A470 road on the far side of the reservoir look tiny from this hillside vantage point. This valley has long been an important north-south route in the region. It carries a Roman road and was later a coaching road to Brecon from Merthyr. Today it contains a fast trunk road that sees a lot of traffic. Still good to walk above though.
