TQ3280 : Faryners House, Monument Street

Faryners House, Monument Street
Faryners House, Monument Street
Yet another job by Richard Seifert, who supposedly built more, and had more effect on London's skyline, than Wren. This one dates from 1969-71. Its concrete and glass mass juts out into the street aggressively, propped up by monumental Y-shaped piers. Never a dull moment with the Colonel. Well, actually there probably were, but who wants to photograph dull things?
