SK1271 : Five Wells Chambered Cairn

taken 13 years ago, near to Blackwell, Derbyshire, England

Five Wells Chambered Cairn
Five Wells Chambered Cairn
The eastern chamber, looking northeast across Chee Dale. This site is the remains of a circular chambered cairn that originally had 2 back to back opposing limestone chambers facing east and west and probably entered by a passage through a now vanished mound.
