DLR leaving Prince Regent
DLR leaving Prince Regent
A Docklands Light Railway (DLR) train heading eastwards away from Prince Regent station. In the background are modern hotel buildings. This area of London had become run-down following closure of the docks, but has since been regenerated.

To the left of the image is a disused railway cutting. This used to carry a suburban branch line to North Woolwich, serving the docks. The line was closed in 2006. Part of the route has been used to build a further extension to the DLR system, while here, the cutting will be used for the new Crossrail route which is under construction.
