The sculpture of Red Rum by Lady Annette Yarrow was unveiled in the Wayfarer Arcade SD3317 : Wayfarers Arcade, Southport on the 1st August 1979. The plinth was made by Sheet Metal & Fabrication students on a Youth Opportunities Programme at the Hugh Baird College, Bootle.
