Taunton: two towers and the overnight score
After two days of more or less continuous rain, the clouds cleared on the Friday of the Somerset-Nottinghamshire County Championship match. The southern scoreboard shows how play had ended on the Wednesday, with Somerset 20 for 2. The practice nets are on the outfield half an hour before the start of play. Notts had the better of the day, bowling Somerset out for 177 and replying with 183 for 3; the match was drawn after rain returned to shorten the last day. The two towers are those of the churches of St Mary Magdalene (far) and St James.
