Although it was high summer there were no boats on the lake, perhaps because of the severe algal blooms.
Mayesbrook Park

Mayesbrook Park is a large varied park with sporting facilities and an attractive local nature reserve. The southern section of the park features two large lakes which are home to a wide range of wildlife. The park provides over 40 hectares of open space and is home to several of Barking and Dagenham's sports clubs.
