Across Cors Caron towards Swyddffynnon, Ceredigion
This is the scene across the bog looking from the dismantled railway north of Allt-ddu farm towards the low summit (205 metres, 673 feet) at Swyddffynnon, beyond the wide flat valley of the Afon Teifi.

Cors Caron is a raised bog through which the Afon Teifi meanders. The bog covers an area of approximately 862 acres (349 ha). It is the most intact surviving example of a raised bog landscape in the United Kingdom. Cors Caron began to be formed 12,000 years ago, at the end of the last glaciation period. Detailed but concise scientific details can read on the Wikipedia page, from which my information was sourced. LinkExternal link
