The Loe
The Loe
A freshwater lake caused by natural and man-induced damming of the River Loe from the sea, off to the right across Loe Bar. Previously ships could navigate up to Helston, two miles inland. There are now lovely walks around both sides of The Loe through the Penrose estate.
