Poplar Cottage, Singleton
Poplar cottage is a small building timber framed, thatched building dating from the seventeenth century. It was originally built at Washington, Sussex. The building dates to between 1550 and 1630. It was donated to the museum in 1982 and carefully dismantled in that year. It was re-erected at the museum in 1999, the work being funded by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund
Weald and Downland Open Air Museum
The museum has around fifty historic vernacular buildings, most of which have been saved from destruction from other sites around the South East and rebuilt to their original form at the museum. Read more at wikipedia LinkExternal link
