NT2788 : Cross-bedding

taken 7 years ago, near to Kinghorn, Fife, Great Britain

The large loose block on the left, and the in-situ outcrop to its right, show fine examples of cross-bedding. Beneath the latter is the dark line of a volcanic sill which has been inserted between the sedimentary beds. The structure at far left is Seafield Tower.
