Tree reflections at Grizedale Tarn
Tree reflections at Grizedale Tarn
Fringed by reeds in places and relatively small, this tarn is the only natural one in Grizedale Forest. It has a wooden platform on one side and some water lilies on its surface.

The tarn was used as an emergency water supply for Grizedale Hall in the Second World War, at a time when the Hall was being used as an officers' Prisoner of War camp.
