Mendick Hill
Mendick Hill
This shapely hill in the Pentland range of hills stands above the village of West Linton at a height of 451 metres and affords excellent views. The welcome seating bench seen beyond the trig point consists of an old railway sleeper. Attached is a metal plaque with the following notice:-
" In loving memory of Fay and Noel Cross who loved this place. Do not cry that they are gone but smile because they lived. Placed here by their children Simon and Sally".
It must have taken considerable effort to get this sleeper up the hill!
