Cans for Corridors
A heap of aluminium cans collected by staff and friends of Birmingham Nature Centre, as part of a fund-raising scheme to create wildlife corridors linking up isolated patches of Brazilian forest.
My late mother used to take me to Cannon Hill Park as a youngster in the early 50s. I remember being fascinated by the fact that the bed of the River Rea through the park was lined with bricks.
