Lytham Windmill and Old Lifeboat House
The Grade II listed Windmill (LinkExternal link ) on Lytham Green is probably Lytham's best known landmark. It houses a seasonal museum with a series of exhibits focussed on the "History of Mills and Milling" and the "Heritage of Lytham St Annes and the Fylde Area".

The Museum, which attracts an average of 20,000 visitors every year, was established in 1989 by Lytham Heritage Group. It houses exhibitions and displays spread over 4 floors, including explanations of the milling processes and a history of the building itself. The basement shows a tableau of life in Victorian Lytham.

Behind the windmill, in this picture, is the old lifeboat station LinkExternal link.

Fylde Borough Council also have a Tourist Information Point within the Windmill during the season. LinkExternal link.
