Cairn, Ballymeanoch
Cairn, Ballymeanoch
The burial cairn with its ring of upright kerb stones has been placed close to the avenue of standing stones, but at a much more recent date.
The stone avenue and the nereby henge would have been ancient mysterious artefacts to the bronze age people choosing to bury the cremated remains of their dead close by.
