The Church of St. Mary The Virgin
Pevsner says " The Crewe Trustees {see NY9650 : The Lord Crewe Arms Hotel} found the monastic church in ruins ... Using what walls still stood, they built an L-plan church incorporating the monastic chancel, crossing and N transept and the tower" that had, unusually, been built at the north end of the N transept in the 14th C. This view is of the west face of the N transept; the satellite image LinkExternal link may make the layout clearer.
