Cambridge Station: easing the curve
Cambridge Station: easing the curve
This view from The Tony Carter Cycle Bridge shows the new track layout at the north end of the station, to serve the new platform currently being built. As I supposed when writing the caption for TL4657 : Cambridge Station: new tracks at the north end, a sharp curve suitable for goods trains but not for passenger services is being eased: a triangle of fresh ballast is ready for a new piece of pointwork (centre right). TL4657 : Cambridge Station: laying track for the new platform and TL4657 : North from the Tony Carter Cycle Bridge are earlier views from more or less the same spot.
