Reconstructed interior of Nether Largie North Cairn
The four thousand year old cairn was excavated in 1930 and has been reconstructed allowing public access to a slab lined burial chamber found within the mound.
The underside of the large cover slab was decorated with at least 40 cup marks and later with 10 axe-head shapes before being used to cover the grave.
