TQ3580 : 'Dolphin' in the Thames

taken 7 years ago, near to Stepney, Tower Hamlets, Great Britain

'Dolphin' in the Thames
'Dolphin' in the Thames
An iron post that was used to assist in the navigation in and out of Surrey Docks. No longer required as the docks are long gone. On the other side of the river, on the left of the picture, one can see the Prospect of Whitby public house and the accumulator tower of the London Hydraulic Power Co's Wapping Pumping Station.
