NR7993 : Crinan swing bridge

taken 7 years ago, near to Crinan, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Crinan swing bridge
Crinan swing bridge
At the end of the B841 taking traffic over the Crinan Canal for nowhere.
Once it provided access to the landing stage on the River Add where the ferry could take one across the river to what is now called "Crinan Ferry".
Strangely the bridge is normally closed to the busy canal traffic and open to the almost non-existent wheeled traffic.
