Crags behind Charlie's Seat
Crags behind Charlie's Seat
A lower path is marked on some maps that climbs South Sutor steeply after a meandering traverse of the hillside. The route is not promoted and there are branches so positioned at the junction from the main path to deter you from taking it. The path is obvious and a delight until it arrives at totally hidden buildings and the wrecks of cars that have been "dropped" over the cliff. Route finding is now required and a false trail leads to a view of the cliffs above Charlie's Seat - a view that reinforces the steepness of the terrain around South Sutor.
