Saxon cross shaft
Fragment of a 10th century cross depicting Christ on the cross with a spear and reed, the feet above would have continued with a respresentation of The Ascension. When complete, the cross has been estimated to have stood 10 feet high. It was discovered during restoration work in the 1880s.
