Kenwood Hall was built in 1845 as the home of George Wostenholme a wealthy Sheffield cutlery manufacturer. After his death is wife enlarged it and it continued as a private residence until 1922. It was then sold for 5,500 and converted to a hotel. Since then it has continued as a hotel under various owners.
