SP0583 : Pedestrian railings at the junction of Bristol Road and Edgbaston Park Road, Bournbrook
taken 11 years ago, near to Selly Oak, Birmingham, Great Britain

Pedestrian railings at the junction of Bristol Road and Edgbaston Park Road, Bournbrook
Near the Gun Barrels public house.
Note the freshly painted two way segregated cycle path on the pavement beyond the recently installed pedestrian railings. Heading towards the city centre cyclists are rudely dumped back on the carriageway behind the advance stop line before the junction. There seems to be no legal way for riders to join the path heading in the other direction. As cycling is not allowed on the footway in the foreground.
