The path up on King's Seat Hill passes a memorial to the pilots of three Spitfires from RAF Grangemouth which crashed here on the 16th January 1943.

On the cairn is a plaque rememvering Flying officer Hugh Reynolds and Sergeant Gordon Duda were killed in the crash and the sole survivor Sergeant Vincent Daly.

The cairn was dedicated in 2009.
