Historic Car Winner 2011
Andy Kelly (Driver) left and Roger Herron (Navigator) right, celebrate their winning of the Merrick Stages in a classic Ford Escort MK 1. In itself a great achievement, but extra special because this car is a completely new build on its first rally with Andy driving for the first time in 20 years.
Scottish Rally Championship 2011
Round seven of the MSA Scottish Rally Championship, the Merrick Forest Stages, started and finished in The Square Wigtown, Dumfries and Galloway on the 3rd September 2011. Four wheel drive and Historic cars were both included in the event. Mike Faulkner (the 2011 winner) said that in his opinion the Merrick Stages are some of the best in the country, they are very quick and reward the committed driver. Link
