Torver Tarn
Torver Tarn
This tarn is marked as Reservoir (disused) on the OS 25K map. It is a natural formation, but the water level was raised by a few feet by a crude dam (now broken) many years ago to increase the water supply to a mill down at Sunny Bank. The sunlit peak of The Old Man of Coniston is visible in the left background.
