Through the arch of the present railway viaduct looms the ivy clad pier that remains from Brunel's earlier stone and timber viaduct.
Hopefully Network Rail will clear the ivy and bushes growing from this and other local rail bridges/viaducts, and not let them become like the Brunel pier !
