Rhyd-Ddu Path
Rhyd-Ddu Path
The Rhyd-Ddu Path (named as such on OS maps), refers to the route from the small village of Rhyd-Ddu to Snowdon's summit; it's seen here looking downhill from the stretch rising towards Llechog. The path is in a relatively poor state here winding as a broad and eroded scar; lower down, it's in a far better state with a surface of laid stone and the surrounding vegetation well recovered. A small ruined building can be seen at the base of the crag at the top left side of the image.
