Bournemouth: groyne № 8 and the polar bear
Bournemouth: groyne № 8 and the polar bear
Looking across the beach towards the red marker at the end of the eighth groyne (counting eastwards from the borough boundary with Poole), with the splendid chalk cliff faces of The Needles, the western tip of the Isle of Wight, in the distance.

They famously, in our family at least, resemble a polar bear when the weather is right and it is pretty good for that today.
