NT2775 : Foot of Easter Road

taken 7 years ago, near to Leith, Edinburgh, Great Britain

Foot of Easter Road
Foot of Easter Road
The name of the Persevere Bar on the corner is from the motto on Leith's Coat of Arms. Over the generations that's exactly what many Leithers have had to do to survive in an area where life can be tough.

For a view of an 18thC coach approaching this spot, see LinkExternal link I think the farmhouse on the far right of this old print is Lower Quarryholes where the new Leith Academy now stands.
